At Home in Rome

11 . 26 . 10

When I first found the image of Cy Twombly’s bedroom in Rome, I was hoping that I could find photos of the rest of his home.  Some continued sleuthing has unearthed them and they were definitely worth the search.  They were taken by Horst P. Horst in 1966 and most appeared in Vogue’s Book of […]

Jolie Laide

11 . 12 . 10

I’ve always been Team Anniston.  It’s the hair.  So when I found out that Angelina Jolie was on the cover of the December issue of Vogue, I was none too pleased.  There is something about that husband stealing home wrecker that rubs me the wrong way.  I will admit that the photo above by Mario […]

I think there is a misconception that New Yorkers only go to the Hamptons in the summer.  While the Hamptons are lovely during the warmer months, they can be even better in the fall and winter when the crowds have left.  If Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and her family don’t spend weekends at their place […]

I think they key to a successful career in a creative field is having a place to get away from it all on the weekends.  Stella McCartney’s gardens at the home she shares with her family in the British countryside look like the perfect place to recharge your batteries.  They created all the gardens from […]

Chic at Maxim’s

10 . 19 . 10

I’m busy working today so for right now, I’m leaving you with these beautiful photos of Anne Hathaway from Vogue.  They were shot by Mario Testino at Maxim’s in Paris and make her look like a French Holly Golightly.  I still don’t have the November issue yet but you can see more photos and read the interview […]

Coco Rocha at Home

10 . 13 . 10

I couldn’t find the new November issue of Vogue on the newsstands today but I was able to console myself with their new online feature, APT with LSD.  The magazine’s chicest contributing editor, Lauren Santo Domingo, will take readers into the homes of “some of Vogue’s favorite people” including fashion designers, models, stylists, artists, celebrities, […]

The October Issue

09 . 07 . 10

I haven’t even gotten through all the September magazines and now the October issues are arriving in my mailbox.  I am always excited for Vogue though and look forward to reading more about the newest “it girl” Carey Mulligan.  She stars with Keira Knightly, Andrew Garfield, and Charlotte Rampling in the film version of Kazuo […]

Grace is Good

08 . 30 . 10

It was reported by WWD last week that Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington is hard at work on her autobiography.  She will be helped with this task by former Men’s Vogue editor in chief Jay Fielden.  “We’re just starting, and I think it’s going to be a really fun project,” she told WWD, adding: “I’m […]

The Rise of Reed

08 . 19 . 10

I picked up the September issue of Vogue yesterday and although it’s a little heavy on Fashion’s Night Out coverage, there was one fabulous feature that stopped me in my tracks.  The finally finished townhouse of Delphine and Reed Krakoff is breathtaking and worth buying the issue just so you can drool over it.  I […]

The September Issue

08 . 12 . 10

As Candy Pratts Price so succinctly said it in The September Issue, “September is the January in fashion.” September is the when all the magic happens and the guidebook for the entire season is the September issue of Vogue. Halle Berry is the lucky cover girl and she and the interiors of her shoot by Mario […]

Horsing Around

08 . 06 . 10

The first wave of September magazines are out but I’m still enjoying the August 2010 issue of Vogue and this chic spread of Raquel Zimmermann and a horse named Ollie.  I can’t even imagine what the tourists on Sixth Avenue thought when they saw them walking down the street.  I’m also swooning over the fall […]

La Bastide de Marie

08 . 02 . 10

Remember that fabulous Provence farmhouse where Marion Cotillard was languishing in the July 2010 issue of Vogue magazine?  Well, turns out that it’s really a hotel called La Bastide de Marie.  Not only can you languish there but you can also relax at the spa, walk the gardens and enjoy the haute cuisine.  We not be […]

Hot Town

06 . 24 . 10

We dream all winter for summer weather to arrive and then we complain about it when it does. But in our defense, it really has been hot and steamy in New York this week. I don’t want to wish summer away but really I am looking forward to fall when I can wear chic outfits […]

July in Provence

06 . 15 . 10

I am swooning over the photos of Marion Cotillard in the July 2010 issue of Vogue! Mario Testino shot the stunning French star and Oscar winner in La Bastide de Marie in the South of France and both Marion and Provence look stunning! Makes me want to book a trip immediately. To see more, check […]

Chic Necklaces

06 . 11 . 10

I came across these amazing Ichiche necklaces yesterday on Vogue.com and I’m already thinking about buying them all! They are designed by Denise Spencer, an American based in Istanbul who has weaved local traditions and materials into the designs. They are actually quite reasonably priced with the necklaces seen here ranging from $169-$329. Happy Shopping!

The CFDA was very busy this week. First, they announced that they would be releasing American Fashion Designers at Home this fall and today, they have unveiled their collaboration with the Gap. The three CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners, Monique Péan, Patrik Ervell and Sophie Théallet, have designed special pieces that will be sold exclusively at […]

Glee by the Sea

05 . 26 . 10

Model Raquel Zimmerman looks amazingly beautiful in this shoot for Vogue but if you ask me, there isn’t nearly enough of Glee’s Matthew Morrison. Who knew there was a six pack hiding under those buttondowns and sweater vests! Photos by Mikael Jansson for Vogue
