This season of Gossip Girl has been less than stellar but it’s still my Monday night guilty pleasure. The season finale is tonight and I’m hoping that I can make it home in time to catch it. But even more exciting is that on Wednesday, the new June 2010 issue of Vogue will hit the stands with Blake Lively, aka Serena van der Woodsen, on the cover. Seems that she and Hamish Bowles take surf lessons together. See last photo for proof. I cannot wait to read what I am sure will be a hilarious account if it’s anything like his wilderness adventure! XOXO!

I saw HB speak last week and he showed the last image and told how it came about. As the crew was unpacking in the beach parking lot early in the morning there was a man changing from a suit to a s=wet suit, and he was in mid change, wearing what you see on the model. HB had an aha! moment and the rest is Vogue history. It takes a unique eye to recognize the design moment that presented itself in the course of real life, and he has it.

Last night’s finale I thought was a great end to a lukewarm season for me… def has me hooked for the fall!
i’m not a fan of hollywood celebrities on high fashion mag covers, but darn it, she is hot! what a cutie. i love the surf theme.

I adore that sweater she’s wearing on the cover…and that cute little surfer jacket thingy. If only the show were as good as it used to be, but then these high school based shows always seem to fizzle out don’t they?
