La Bastide de Marie

Remember that fabulous Provence farmhouse where Marion Cotillard was languishing in the July 2010 issue of Vogue magazine?  Well, turns out that it’s really a hotel called La Bastide de Marie.  Not only can you languish there but you can also relax at the spa, walk the gardens and enjoy the haute cuisine.  We not be able to look like a French movie star but it’s nice to know we can at least feel like one!

Beautiful images. Would love to see in person. That stone room reminds me of a the room I stayed in at the Madonna Inn. Too funny!

I have always wanted to live in a stone house. But I would decorate it in a country Norwegian style, with painted furniture in royal blue, red and mustard yellows. With Italian cassone and thick old patterned antique rugs and crusty rustic gilt mirrors.

Stayed there last September. Very relaxing, tranquil spot with great food and wine and perfect location for exploring the charming villages of the south of France.

This family runs other hotels in France, I think, such as Fermes de Marie. I stayed there and it is so gorgeous. You should see the croissant and coffee breakfast!!!

I love the interior of this breathtaking hotel and grounds! The bedroom makes me want to run away from home (just for a night!). Would you mind if I reference Habitually Chic and use a few of the pictures on my “Fabulous Friday” blog post this week? It is just too beautiful not to share with others! Thanks for doing that for your readers!
