Hot Town
by habituallychic
06 . 24 . 10We dream all winter for summer weather to arrive and then we complain about it when it does. But in our defense, it really has been hot and steamy in New York this week. I don’t want to wish summer away but really I am looking forward to fall when I can wear chic outfits like these seen in Vogue recently. Of course, I probably like them even more since they were shot in Paris. Doesn’t everything look better in Paris? Wonder what their weather is like this week.

i LOVE simple stated outfits like that – but i’m NOT rushing to wear em’ – still want my beach season! – :o)

I’m not ready to put up my flip flops, but I adore the high waisted trousers. And yes, everything looks better in Paris! 😉
A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. Yes, it has been hot, hot and hotter here on the northeast coast! Loved these designs – Vogue always has such ‘out there’ fashion, this is so calm to what I’m used to seeing there. I think I’d wear everyone one of them – wish I was 6″ taller though! Ciao, bella!
Your are my kind of Stylist. Absolutely wild about this style
I love long summer days but the Carolina heat seems brutal this year too! These layers look so refreshing~Thanks for sharing! Be sure to stop by and check out our bucket bag giveaway~it will transition perfectly into Fall:)

Oh my goodness – how chic and elegant! My birthday is in September, so I’m fond of Fall myself. With temperatures soaring into the high 90s range in New Jersey this week, I’ll take a cool autumn afternoon and the outfit in the last photo, please.
Cheers,
Patrice
Gorgeous photos! While spring and summer are my favorite months…I must admit, I do like fall winter clothing more.

I wish I was tall enough to EVER look this chic in clothes. I’m skinny enough but at 5′ 0″ my legs will never look like that and I spend more time hemming pants than wearing them.
Love these fall looks. Very Annie Hall with a more classic edge.
Thanks for sharing.

I think I have to give props to you for noticing some fashionable ladies wearing these high-waisted, bell-bottom looking pants at a J.Crew shoot/premiere of their fall line months ago!
I’m not a Vogue model but I am 5’7 without shoes on, so pants like these paired with heels make my legs look even longer. Love these looks.
could Daria get any prettier?!?
oh I just love these modern classic looks. Back-to-school nostalgia!
Wow we must think alike…I just scanned these images a few days ago for a post. I have to agree, the outfits are absolutely devine! I’m loving the blue Chanel + coral belt combo.
You’re so right! Everything does look better in Paris!
I’m going to go buy this copy just for these looks! Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I’m ready for it!
Ahhh…. layers!!! Is it okay to admit that I stopped being able to focus once I saw the blue Chanel in the top pic? Yes… I think it’s okay to admit that. Lovely, lovely Testino photos.
Oh, I think I might just come up to her hip bone.
The weather in NYC, except for this week, has been pretty ideal, in my opinion, so I’m not complaining. I hate winter, though. I’d rather be too hot any day than have my fingers hurt from cold, even with gloves.
Nice pictures!
summer is wonderful after a long winter….
but is there anything better that fall?

I love summertime but I really love fall fashion, every year I can’t wait!
I love this. Daria Werbowy is so breathtaking.
