The Chicest Chateau

Visiting Coco Chanel’s apartment was a bucket list item that actually came true. Perhaps if I wish hard enough, I may find myself at Chateau de Wideville someday. Not exactly sure under what circumstances that might happen but a girl can dream.
Chateau de Wideville is the 17th-century home in France owned by Valentino who restored the chateau to its former glory with the help of legendary interior designer Henri Samuel. The 280-acres of landscape and gardens were designed by Jacques Wirtz and include a pigeonnier tower, a pavilion containing a shell grotto, a building housing the archives of Valentino Garavani Archives.
At the end of Haute Couture week, Valentino held a very beautiful luncheon in honor of Sofia Coppola. In attendance were her parents, Eleanor and Francis Ford Coppola, Brie Larson, Lauren Santo Domingo, Derek Blasberg, Fabiola Beracasa Beckman (who took the photo above), Karlie Kloss, Naty Abascal, Carlos Souza, and many more who took a tour of the breathtaking gardens after lunch.
