More Fall Transitional Outfits

I asked my Instagram followers this week what things they needed for fall and I’ve tried to incorporate some of their answers into this second fall transitional outfit post. There are options for how to dress for going back to the office, how to dress for September when it’s still very warm, and how to dress for teaching. I don’t want to toot my own horn but I think this might be one of my best fall fashion posts. I’ve included as many price points as possible and everything can be mixed and matched. Although, I wouldn’t pair the patterned shoes with the patterned shoes but otherwise, it’s a choose your own adventure fashion post. You can even pair these pieces with sneakers from yesterday’s post or last week’s fall transitional outfits.

This outfit could be worn back to the office when it’s still warm. Leave the jacket off until you get into the air conditioning. You can take it off again for happy hour or a dinner date.

I love that this linen suit blazer doesn’t look linen so you can wear it into September and maybe even October, especially if you live in a warmer climate.

This cotton-blend sweater is perfect for transitional weather and you get to show off your tan arms.

A slip skirt in taupe is also perfect for fall warmer weather.

I think you can still wear sandals into September as long as they have a fall feel. I absolutely love the suede slingback sandals on the top. The suede kitten heel mules are a chic but reasonably priced offer. The leather stacked heeled sandals would work as well with longer wide leg jeans as they would with skirts and dresses.

This brown nubuck shoulder bag looks like it would fit a laptop so you could take it from work to weekends. I also like this brown medium suede tote as another option.

If you’re wearing something sleeveless, I would all a gold bracelet or watch like this Cartier Panthère gold watch or one like it. You can get a similar look for less with this Women’s Milan Diamond Dial Bracelet Watch.

It’s still sunny into fall so you might want to upgrade your eyewear. I think these metal frame sunglasses would pair well with fall fashions.

If your hair is still being unruly when it’s time to work or school, pull it back in this chic suede cuff hair elastic.

This suit works for someone in a corporate environment or a create one.

You could wear the charcoal wool suit blazer with the matching pants or the slip skirt or white cropped high-rise straight-leg jeans.

In order to get two outfits out of the suit, you could wear the grey cashmere tee shirt under the charcoal wool suit blazer or with the matching cardigan for casual Fridays.

If you work in a conservative corporate office, I would have your tailor sew up the slits on the charcoal grey wool suit pants but if you are in a creative office, you might want to leave the slits.

These great neutral suede pumps can be worn with any of these outfits, as can the sneakers. You might want to wear them on your walk home from work or with a pair of grey pants on the weekend.

I really don’t need another bag but I love how great this Celine medium Triomphe bag would be with all my grey clothes for fall.

I think necklaces like this 18kt gold-plated curb-chain necklace pair better with heavier fabrics for fall.

If designer sunglasses aren’t your thing, these tortoise sunglasses look expensive but only cost $29.99.

This outfit could work for a more casual office or even teaching if you swap out some of the accessories. You could add some color with a chambray shirt or a blouse when it’s too hot for the sweater.

This wool turtleneck sweater is a thinner style for layering that is also available in black.

This FormKnit scoop neck tank is a great layering piece for under your jackets and knits this fall.

If it’s too hot to wear jeans or you can’t wear them to the office, these pleated twill straight-leg pants are a great option.

I love tan suede bags like this large suede shoulder bag for fall. I less expensive option is this suede bucket bag.

If you’re looking for chic but reasonably priced shoes for fall, I love these suede bow loafer flats and houndstooth bow pumps.

Fall means keeping track of time again whether it’s with this Hermès Heure H Leather Strap Watch or a simple Timex.

You also can’t go wrong with a chunky 14kt gold-plated chain bracelet.

I love these sunglasses that are a tortoise aviator style.

I picture a minimalist furniture dealer or art gallery owner wearing this outfit.

This cashmere polo sweater feels like the perfect weight for transitional fall weather.

I love the cement color of this paneled leather midi skirt. You could wear it with almost anything.

I really don’t need anymore shoes but I’m very tempted by the taupe leather point-toe mules on the top. The Glen Plaid kitten heel mules are a perfect fall transitional shoe at a great price while the leather-trimmed raffia mules are a more fashion forward option.

This suede bucket bag is such a great deal, I may have to get one for myself.

This gold-plated necklace is another great reasonably priced option to update your fall look. If you want to complete the look, there is a matching gold-plated bracelet.

I like adding a little pop of black to all the taupe with this black Hermès Heure H goldplated watch.

I love adding a silk scarf to my outfit while it’s still too warm for a cashmere scarf.

I love the look of these fashion forward sunglasses. I might have to buy myself these too.

It took me a minute to realize why I liked this outfit so much. It’s the same as one I wore for much of last winter. I love adding neutrals to my grey pieces.

I love the neutral beige of this affordable wool and cashmere-blend sweater.

Layers are key and I love the longer sleeve on this white tee shirt for when you need to take your sweater off at work.

You can’t go wrong with these four-season stretch pants that come in seven different colors.

The neutral ballet flats would go with any type and color of outfit this fall. As I mentioned yesterday, I love these darker leather and suede sneakers that look a little more dressed up. They are a great color for traveling.

The suede tote on the left comes with a shoulder strap if you stuff it with too much stuff. The suede tote on the right is your reasonably priced option that’s just as chic.

I love the twist on these bold gold hoop earrings.

These neutral sunglasses are a great deal at $29.99.

Hope these outfits help you transition your wardrobe to fall.

Bon week-end!

XOXO,
