La Seine
by habituallychic
09 . 12 . 09We were lucky enough to stay a half a block from the river Seine while in Paris so we would often stroll along its banks or cross its many bridges everyday. The mood of the river would change according to the light and time of day as well as the weather. When we arrived it felt like early autumn and when I left Tuesday afternoon, it was 85 degrees and sunny. The photos I took during our trip show not only that progression but also it’s beauty no matter what the temperature!

Love love Paris!
Your photos make me wanna cry to be there and see that, experience it again.
Ahhhhhhhhh
Thank you for rekindling the Parisian flame.
I too was in Paris for Maison et Objet and love reliving the trip with your beautiful pictures but I really want to see pictures of your cute outfits! How did your shoes work out — I always find summer sandals/shoes a problem in Paris because of the all the walking in the heat.

Most beautiful city in the world!
just beautiful..thank you for sharing!
Paris me manque! I was lucky enough to study at the Sorbonne during college and lived in the 12eme Arrondisement with a lovely family. The “Paris Plage” (Paris beach) on the sides of the Seine was a constant source of inspiration and peace. Hope you had a wonderful time, it certainly looks like you did!

Walking along the side of the Seine with in the background some Parisian accordion Muzette music is so wonderful!
Beautiful pictures Heather!

I have never been to Paris..loving all your photos! Beautiful images!
Thank you for your pictures. It has been a long week and they have really genuinely lifted my spirits. You take some wonderful pictures – I especially love the black and whites – it’s amazing how the “mistakes” we make have such incredible, unexpected results. I would frame them all and fill a wall with them if they were mine!! I keep thinking of the person who scoffed about how people “go to Paris all the time, what’s the big deal” and the big deal is that Paris is magical and you felt it. When the magic is gone life loses it’s beauty. It’s not only okay to be “childlike” in the wonder of it all – it is essential. I love your blog, but your photos and sheer joy over this trip have added a whole new level of enjoyment for me!! Have a great week!
Such beautiful photos….Oh, to be in Paris!!! Thanks for reminding me.
Your pictures are just beautiful…loved the black and white ones the other day…
