One of my friends in the Hamptons alerted me that the historic Hannibal French House on Main Street in Sag Harbor is on the market with Compass for $18.9 Million. I’ve posted about this house many time and always photograph it when I am walking in town but it was very nice to see more photos of the interior. There were some photos of the Veere Grenney decorated rooms in Frances Valentine Lookbook in 2019 and in his book Veere Grenney: A Point of View: On Decorating from 2018.

I really hope the next owner respects the history and traditional elements and doesn’t rip them out and paint everything grey.

The blog Love with a Proper Stranger posted some photos in 2010 that I assume were from a real estate listing. They also mentioned the house had sold for $6.8 Million at some previously.
