As soon as I saw the new Frances Valentine Pre-Fall 2019 Lookbook, I immediately recognized that it was photographed at the Hannibal French House in Sag Harbor. I would have recognized it regardless since it has a very distinct Italianate exterior but I also just walked by it every single day last week. When I stay at Baron’s Cove, I walk to Main Street up Garden Street which takes me past the house and I also photograph it every time because I love it so much. Workers were actually painting the fence when I walked by for the last time on Sunday. It’s fitting that they used the house as their backdrop since Frances Valentine has opened a pop up shop on Main Street in Sag Harbor this summer. The cheerful and colorful clothing and accessories are perfect for lightening the mood of the rainy weather that has just settled into the city. Good thing my vacation was last week!
