More Spectacular Sweater and Skirt Sets for Fall

I’ve received so many messages from women who are kicking themselves for snoozing on the Cos sweater and skirt sets that I posted in August. I’m hoping that they will place some of these new sweater and skirt sets in their cart and checkout immediately because these are pretty spectacular. I’m all in on this look and will be wearing matching sweaters and skirts all fall because they have the comfort level of loungewear but make you look very pulled together. They are perfect for those of you who are being forced back to the office this fall and can be worn now with flats or kitten heel shoes and later with boots so you will get your money’s worth out of them.

The grey merino skirt and polo sweater above when only the polo was available and I stalked the website for weeks until I could buy the skirt. Then I returned them and repurchased them and I’ll tell you why. The Merino Polo Sweater is incredibly soft and I love the covered buttons. It’s the perfect transitional piece for the early warm fall weather but the sleeves are flared. Whoever designed the sleeve this way needs to be fired. I returned it because I wasn’t sure I wanted to deal with getting the sleeves altered but then I decided that I’m willing to put in the work because it’s a great look with the matching Merino Sweater Skirt. The sweater fits true to size but I had to return the skirt I ordered in my usual size and order one size down. It arrived today and it fits perfectly. I’m going to see if I can pin the sleeves to wear the sweater before I have time to take it to my tailor.

As I’m about to show you, the merino wool separates come in many different mix and match styles, like the Merino Sleeveless Shell and Merino Turtleneck Sweater, and colors so there is something for everyone. The skirts come in regular, petite, and tall sizes so all heights are covered too. I just noticed when I was putting this post together that there is also now a Merino Short Sleeve Sweater too but I think the Merino V-Neck Sweater is too low cut for the office so I’d pass on that style. I’m wondering if there is a cardigan coming and I will keep you posted if I see one.

For warmer weather, I’d pair this grey outfit with from top to bottom, the beige Point-Toe Leather Mary Jane Flats, camel Leather Point-Toe Flats, or camel Leather Kitten-Heel Mules. When the temperature drops, you can wear the set with a cognac Leather Stacked Heel Boots. I prefect nude, tan, camel, and brown accessories with grey but you can wear black too.

For jewelry, I will wear a Gold Link Necklace and chunky gold-plated earrings.

The finishing touch is a tan Large Suede Shoulder Bag.

When I decided to reorder the grey set, I also ordered the black Merino Turtleneck Sweater and black Merino Sweater Skirt. I picture wearing it under a trench coat on a grey or rainy day. I’m debating if I need to order the black Merino Polo Sweater so I have another option too.

There is also a very chic Merino Sweater Dress option too in grey, navy, and camel.

With either outfit, I would add a black Stacked Heel Boot or a shorter Kitten Heel Boot.

I just ordered these Triple Hoop Earrings because I’ve decided that big earrings are going to be my look for fall. If you are wearing the black Merino Polo Sweater, I would wear the Interwoven Hoops Necklace.

For bags, I’d consider the brown python Classic Bag or the new black Bowling Two Textured-Leather Tote.

The red merino pieces are selling out fast so don’t snooze on this color for fall and the holidays. Now I’m seriously debating if I need the red Merino Polo Sweater and red Merino Sweater Skirt too.

This set would also look good with the black Kitten Heel Boot or flat Dot Mesh Mary Jane Ballerina Flats or black Leather Slingbacks.

For accessories, I love this Lié Studio Gold-Plated Carnelian Necklace and black Leather and Suede Shoulder Bag.

I own the navy version of this grey Merino Wool Sweater and matching Merino Wool Midi Skirt from last year. It’s boiled wool but very soft. So many of you message to ask me if something is itchy and I can tell you that I don’t wear scratchy wool but itchiness is subjective. This is a heavier/thicker set meant more for cooler fall and winter weather. There isn’t as much stretch as the navy and brown sets from August but I can still order one size down from my usual size.

It’s perfect for wearing with cognac Leather Stacked Heel Boots and brown Leather Stacked Heel Boots.

I’m still loving a chunky Gold-Plated Necklace with sweaters for fall and winter. I would also wear this chunky Gold-Plated Ring.

I love accessories with texture like this brown Suede Shoulder Bag with heavy knits.

The set also comes in a black Merino Wool Sweater and matching Merino Wool Midi Skirt.

You can pair this set with all black Stacked Heel Boots or black Stacked Heel Boot with a brown heel.

This brown Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag picks up on the color of the boot heels, as does this Cashmere Blend Scarf.

I’d top off this outfit with these Three Hoop Earrings that I just ordered yesterday.

Hope you get the matching set you want before they sell out this time.

XOXO,

HC
