Fall Transitional Outfits from Net-a-Porter

I used to get too excited about wearing fall clothes and would end up sweating to death in September. I finally learned my lesson and now I try to plan better transitional outfits for warmer weather. I’ve partnered with Net-a-Porter to help you figure out what to wear early in the season with their new fall arrivals.

While it’s still warm, this ribbed-knit bodysuit is the perfect foundation piece to pair with the ivory embellished stretch-crepe midi skirt. As much as I love dresses for summer, I’m all about skirts for fall since you can style them a multitude of ways for changing temperatures. When there is a morning chill, throw this chic camel Blazé Milano double-breasted camel hair and wool-blend blazer.

Carry your laptop back to work in this brown intrecciato leather tote and don’t be afraid to wear these bow-detailed leather sandals when it’s still 80 degrees outside.

Finish things off by adding some interest to your neckline with the Messika My Move King Size 18-karat gold diamond necklace.

You could also pair the ribbed-knit bodysuit with wool-twill straight-leg pants when it starts to feel more like fall.

You don’t need to switch directly to all neutrals as soon as September arrives. I absolutely love this blue Gabriela Hearst double-breasted wool, silk and linen-blend blazer and matching wool, silk and linen-blend straight-leg pants paired with a chic ivory satin-jacquard blouse.

I would put away my pastel accessories for fall and ground the suit with tan leather slingback sandals and the new Devlon leather tote from The Row.

Since the blouse has a high neckline, I’d add these gold-plated hoop chain earrings.

When the temperature drops, swap the ivory satin-jacquard blouse for a cashmere and silk-blend turtleneck sweater.

When I find something I like, I buy it in every color. I love the navy embellished wool and silk-blend crepe midi skirt as a base for early fall outfits too. Pair it with the button-embellished striped cotton sweater and throw the matching striped cotton cardigan over your shoulders.

Pair them with a blue leather shoulder bag and add a pop of color with red suede pumps. On my fall wish list is this Spinelli Kilcollin set of three 18-karat gold, sterling silver and diamond rings.

Top the outfit with a red double-breasted cotton-blend tweed jacket when it get colder.

I hope these pieces from Net-a-Porter help you figure out how to dress for the warm early fall days so you won’t be sweating either.

XOXO,

HC
