I was sad when it was announced that Peter Copping would no longer be designing for Oscar de la Renta. It would be no longer running into him in New York. But I was also happy because I knew it meant that he and his partner Rambert Rigaud could return to their lives in France and their beautiful home in Normandy. It would also mean Instagram posts filled with 18th-century antiques and gorgeous gardens. It also seems fitting that Peter Copping is now a contributing editor for Architectural Digest who first featured his Normandy home. But then again, I’ve never met a fashion designer who wasn’t obsessed with interior design and vice versa.
