What I’m Wearing in Paris
by habituallychic
03 . 06 . 15Since we will be attending so many events in Paris, I really did need to lay out all my outfits and plan them in advance. You don’t want to get to your destination and realize you forgot something important like the right pair of shoes or your favorite necklace. Here’s a look at some of the outfits I’ll be wearing this week in Paris.
I’ll also be taking over Instagram accounts next week including Chico’s. You can follow them @lovechicos to see more highlights from my trip to Paris for fashion week.
Fashion Show Outfit – As you’ve seen from many of the fashion week street style photos, color and pattern is key at fashion week. One of the looks I’ll be wearing is a bold black and white Chico’s Striped Jacket with a black leather Club Monaco Perforated Midi Skirt and Chico’s Fortuna Black Heels. Luckily the weather will be warm enough for bare legs. My red Celine Phantom Handbag will add a great pop of color and matches my Smythson Panama Notebook perfectly. I’ll also add my Marion Vidal Necklace, Chico’s Molly Short Necklace, Chico’s Bangle Bracelets, Chico’s Tory Ring, and red Tom Ford Lipstick.
Shopping and Sightseeing Outfit – Even if you’re adverse to wearing sneaks abroad, trust me, every girl in Paris pairs them with black for running around during the day. For days when we’ll be walking a lot, I’ll pair my New Balance with Chico’s White Patch Pocket Zip Jacket, a black Everlane Cashmere Sweater, Black Jeans, and my black Celine Phantom Tote. I love this bag for shopping because it holds a lot and I don’t have to worry about losing something. Since everyone in Paris wears a scarf, I’ll also add my Heidi Wynne Black Cashmere Scarf, my Hermes H-hour Watch for a little color, and The Fashion Insider’s Guide to Paris book on where to go in the City of Light.
Evening Event Outfit – Cartier has invited us to a fun cocktail event followed by a dinner at Caviar Kaspia next week. Sometimes you don’t want to disappear in a sea of black so I plan to wear this ivory Club Monaco Darci Dress, Chico’s Patricia Peep Toe Booties, Chico’s Tassel Necklace, Chico’s Molly Bracelet, and Chico’s Linge Ring. As everyone does during fashion week, I’ll throw my camel Cinzia Rocca Coat over my shoulders and tuck my Chanel Snakeskin Clutch under my arm. I’ll top it all off with some sexy Le Labo Santal 33 Perfume that perfect for evening.
Casual Sunday Outfit – It’s supposed to be 64 degrees on Sunday here which is perfect weather for white jeans. Emmanuelle Alt and all the French editors wear white jeans year round here in Paris so why not follow their lead. I’ll pair these Chico’s White So Slimming Jeans and Everlane Denim Shirt with my camel Cinzia Rocca Coat with a tote bag for the flea market at Vanves in the morning and this Chico’s Shades of Blue Clutch for a casual cafe lunch in the afternoon. I’ll top it off with my my Chloe Lauren Flats that are comfortable for walking, my vintage Breitling Watch, Chico’s Tory Ring, and the Town & Country Guide to Paris from the March 2015 issue to make sure I haven’t missed anything during my trip.
Dinner with Friends – So many people we know are in Paris right now that it feels like all of New York has decamped for the week. For a special dinner with friends, I’ll be pairing Chico’s Isla Lace Top, grey Wool Midi Skirt, Chico’s Patricia Peep Toe Booties, Chico’s Molly Short Necklace, Chico’s Linge Ring, and my Lanvin Bracelets I bought years ago in Paris. My Marni wool coat will be casually draped over my shoulders and my Chanel Snakeskin Clutch will be tucked under my arm. I’ll add Deborah Lippmann Baby Love Nail Polish, neutral Aerin Weekday Lip Gloss for the finishing touches.
