Fab Finds for Summer
by habituallychic
07 . 30 . 13When Fab asked me to choose some of my favorite things for summer, I knew this fun photo of Audrey Hepburn and her then husband Mel Ferrer would be my jumping off point. I love how happy they look sitting outside enjoying a meal.
There is nothing that says summer like red checkered tablecloths and lobsters. If I had my own house in the Hamptons, I’d invite my friends over for a lobster party. I’d set the table with these red checkered tablecloths from Dil and vases of blue hydrangea.
At $11 for a set of four, I’d buy these cute crab and lobster napkins in bulk. Heck, I might even buy them for my apartment in NYC!
I love that you can find everything you need on Fab including the food for your party. You could have six large lobsters delivered instead of braving the traffic in the Hamptons to head to the store.
To continue the theme, you could buy your significant other a pair of these lobster swim trunks to wear for the party.
And for yourself, I suggest this fun Conde Nast Lipstick beach towel.
If you end up heading to the beach, this Chica Red Tote would be the perfect carryall.
It can get chilly by the beach at night, so I’d buy a bunch of these red, white and blue throw blankets for my guests. When we were at the Crow’s Nest in Montauk this weekend, they had a basket full of blankets on a table with bug spray which I thought was a very chic idea.
I love the idea of burning herb scented candles for a lobster party so these Rosemary candles from Izola would be perfect. They would also make a perfect hostess gift because you definitely can’t head out to the Hamptons empty handed!

Love those cocktail napkins. I found some great lobster themed ones at a place called Sharyn Blond linens as well!

so many fun Summer things here! Back to the photo… That coffee pot on the stand takes me back to my Grandmother’s home…
I sit here in my home office listening to the cicadas outside…wishing Summer would stay for a while longer….
I’ve got to get that beach towel! It’s perfect for a former MUA!
So, how did you like the Crow’s Nest? I haven’t been there this summer…yet. It is wonderful out here, isn’t it?
Great finds, especially the napkins for 11 for 4. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
Lobsters are synonymous with summer but I like to serve them on Christmas Eve…I call the dish Lobster Santa “Claws”. Hey, another reason to buy those great looking lobster napkins!
This is the first time I’ve ever seen your blog and I already subscribed. I love it! I also love everything lobster and I’m glad they’re represented in such a positive light in this post haha.
