Grey Day

After four days of lovely weather in San Francisco, this grey Monday is a little depressing.  I’m not ready to be back in boots and tights and coats. As I’ve mentioned before, my winter wardrobe consists of various shades of grey.  It looks less harsh than all black but plays nicely with almost all other colors.  I especially love it mixed with gold jewelry but grey rooms also look great with gold accessories.  Now I just need to find a reasonably priced vintage gold Rolex.  A girl can dream.

My new J.Crew Collection Tartan Car Coat integrates perfectly into my grey wardrobe.  It’s also super warm and chic.  It’s sold out online but you can call to see if they still have it in stores.

He’s technically not wearing grey but he was too cute not to include.

I love all these images, especially the grey horse in full attire and the beautiful living rooms. I love the color grey and it can be sooooo telling and very classy.

Any idea who the artist is of the birds-eye shot of the horse’s neck and mane? I know he has a book of photography that I once considered buying and now regret not having purchased — have been trying to track down that book since.

Hi Heather, I need another cat like a hole in the head, but I might just need that kitten (Mini Beast is fine and fat). I love these tones of grey; the top Tom Ford photo with the intense grey and gilt desk is spectacular. Thanks.

This is a phenomenal post, I love the images and I love love love the quote “What you do today is important, because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.”

It’s a great reminder not to waste time, because time is wasted with all the distractions of our lives.

    Beautiful. Thank you.

I hate grey days but I LOVE grey in fashion and interiors! I love that first charcoal color for walls and the grey tweed on the French chairs is awesome! Have a great day!

Gorgeous images and the cat…so cute. Grey can be luminous and I love it in contemporary or classic interiors. Timeless shade.
