Red Hot
by habituallychic
02 . 02 . 12They say April is the cruelest month but for me, I think it’s February. I loathe Valentine’s Day and any other holiday for which I am made to feel inferior for not having a date. But in the spirit of if you can’t beat them, you might as well join them, I’m deciding to embrace all things red this month. As an Aries, red is supposed to be my color yet I never wear it. They say men are most attracted to women wearing red. I did meet my college boyfriend while wearing a dark red duffel coat so they could be on to something. This also seemed like the perfect day to post red since I’m attending the 20th Anniversary party for Christian Louboutin tonight at Bergdorf Goodman. Might have to invest in a new pair of red soles and maybe even a red dress. Look out February!

love christophe waltz (first photo) – there is some classic austrian flare there!
Awesome photos! A touch of red goes a long way.
Wow! What a stunning post! ‘Mon Oncle’…..yes!!
Red is my go to colour always! It’s the pop you need against almost anything…and it is my beloved signature decorating/fashion accent classic, traditional, modern and post modern!!
Have a wonderful time at the Louboutin event and forget about the whole Valentine’s thing…totally overrated in my view.

Some days you outdo yourself!!! Here’s to red and have a great February.
Great post. Where is that red blazer from (fourth picture down)? I’m thinking of getting it.
Thanks-
Joey
P.S. If I lived in New York, I would take you out on Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s day is invented to make single people feel bad, and couples feel they have to pretend they love each other more than they do!!!As I know from experience how bad you can feel on your own on Valentine’s day, I once gave two people( a girl and a guy) who were both single and miserable on Valentine’s day, and were working with me in the office, both anonymously a Valentine’s card .It cheered them up no end and a year or so later(this is a true story) they ended up marrying each other !!! So it is really worthwhile to spread some Valentine’s cheer to other people, you never know what spreading some good Karma will do!!

Red happens to be my favorite, but I’ll take Bruce in any color, thank you! Love the poster and book, too.
The big question is: what shoes will you wear tonight??
One cannot help but notice a flash of red!

Red is Always so chic, as an accent or as the main piece! Whether a clothing item or piece of furniture, red definitely says “Look at me!” but in a very seductive way! Great images, love that red bow tie!

These are great images and so well put together. You put us all to shame! Love the Elle Decor red frames in the hallway. LOVE your blog and read it often.
Wau! Red is a fabulous statement!

I say definitely buy yourself a present! One Valentine’s, I walked across midtown in a blizzard to buy myself a present at Tiffany’s. I could only afford a silver Elsa Peretti pendant but I still love it to this day.
All fabulfous pics, but that white table with red chairs caught my eyes.
Have a nice day.

Wow! This was awesome! Man, do I love red…..my favorite color always.
I say this bold colour beats them, Heather! (Plus, it’s really the retailers who want us to get into February 14. They’re stuck between holidays and need something to lure us to spend before Easter!)
I love you Heather already! As always your blog post always inspires me! I don’t have a date on Valentine’s day too. But I will survive that day by spreading love and giving my family and friends heart shaped cookies plus a heart shaped card! I agree with Bea, who commented a good karma may work a long way! My friends and I were in NYC last weekend and I was able to take some pictures there for my blog to post on Valentine’s Day. We enjoyed our time there in NYC.
Pls post some pictures from the Christian Loubotin Celebrations at Bergdorf Goodman. We were there last weekend! Thanks for cheering us up in RED! Pamela – The Style and Travel Journals
Yes! Another super inspiration. I have always loved red–I wear it whenever I’m feeling a little insecure or about to start a new adventure. Makes me feel powerful.
Nice. A LIITLE bit of red goes a loooong way. Great touches of it in these images
Stunning photos! Love them all.
