I came across this very chic home in Spain designed by Isabel Lopez Quesada.  I love the rustic wood and natural touches like the river stones above.  Definitely looks like a mix of Belgian and Swedish design than anything Spanish but it seems to work. I’m surprised we don’t see more of this talented interior designer in American magazines. Enjoy!

Lovely! I agree, a definite Belgian feeling running through the home. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many gorgeous pieces of furniture in one photo shoot. What a collection of sofas, tables and chairs!!!

Wow! Great home. I love the striped wall treatment. Can’t tell if it’s paint, paper, or fabric.

  4. Love it. To me this is a perfect example of the use of venetian plaster in a more modern home — mbwife

Beautiful! I love the rustic hardwood floors in many of the shots, and that amazing leather yellow armchair!

What I like about this house? It has a lot of space to move. Beautiful interiors too!

2 stories of windows! Now that’s what I call high ceilings! Gorgeous!

This home is amazingly beautful. So relaxing, welcoming and sophisticated all at once. I really like the worn in look of the wood floors!

Hi Heather, It is always an interesting question: Is it Spain who influenced Belgium or vice-versa since Spain ruled what is now Belgium and parts of what is now Italy in the 15th century. Fortunately, I love it all–it must be the monastic, clean-lined sculptural feel of Spanish, Flemish and Tuscan spaces. Super post. Mary

You’re right to wonder why this interior designer’s work isn’t seen more. It’s gorgeous! Love the elements, textures and furniture pieces.

Anyone know where I can find this wood flooring?
