Macaron Mania
by habituallychic
09 . 20 . 11The new Ladurée shop on Madison Avenue has finally opened to much excitement and long lines. I stopped by at about 10:00am after the Tory Burch store preview and it was the first time that I could snap a few photos. The shop is filled with beautiful pastel colors and old artwork that are just as yummy as their famous macarons. They really are the best and melt in your mouth. My favorite flavors include caramel, coconut, pistachio and rose. They are planning to open a tea shop in Soho next but until then, I highly recommend visiting early or packing your patience. The good thing is that they are definitely worth the wait.

It looks so beautiful. I love all of the colors.
Wow – when I was there it was to crowded to appreciate how pretty the shop is. The Queue went around the store 3 times and out the front door – but so worth it!
Oh this is great. I heard it just opened in NYC and I am so excited to visit while in the city in a few weeks. So exciting to see some pictures of it.
Laduree on the Rue Royal is one of my favourite places in Paris, so happy there is one in NYC as well now.
Have a wonderful day.
You captured it so beautifully! Love everything about Laduree…it is like a little dream land with equally dreamy sweets!!
Thank you for sharing these pics! I’m really looking forward to stopping by soon. I was recently in the Laduree on the Rue Royale (my first Laduree experience) and it was great!
Went here a few days after they opened and waited over an hour to buy my macarons but it was so worth the wait~completely delicious!
Beautiful images!
Thank you Heather for these wonderful pictures.I love Laduree and visit the store on the Champs Elysees each time I go to Paris but I am so happy to have it now in New-york. My youngest daugter collects the boxes whih are so cute. I love the candles and the macarons of course.
I am dying to know about the drapery fabric. It is the same fabric used in Tory Burch’s library. My guess would be Pierre Frey but have never seen it in their showroom. Does anyone know who the manufacturer is? It’s gorgeous!
The flooring with the discs is a great tribute to the macaroons!

Mouthwatering beautiful :)!!!!
Love image #24, over the counter…
I love the Paris Lauduree. I am eager to get NY since it is so much closer to LA than Paris for the macaroons.
I am so glad Laudree opened in New York! My first Laudree experience was in Milan and it was truly wonderful.

Everything about their stores is beautiful, the colors are all so enticing. I am surprised they let you take so many pictures, in Paris they try to stop you from taking pictures.
Such a pleasure to look at these pictures, thank you Heather! When there are still shops like this that can take you to the dream land of good designs and fabulous interiors, there is still a lot that is allright in this world for me!
I amazed you were able to get these photos without all the crowds! New York friends keep sending me pictures of wrap around crowds out the door!
Glad for all my NYC friends that they can finally appreciate a little bit of Paris in New York now too!

Heather – have you noticed that the drapes in Laduree appear to be the same fabric as the sofa in Tory Burch’s library? Best photo of this sofa can be found in the recent InStyle shoot of Tory Burch’s apartment. I love this fabric – anyone know what it is? Elizabeth
