Moving Day!
by habituallychic
07 . 01 . 11I’ve moving out of my old apartment today but can’t move into my new place until July 8th. I’ll be traveling home to recover from packing up five years of accumulated stuff. I was joking with my friend Jessica that I’m apparently a very neat hoarder so it was good to donate, give away or trash a lot of unneccesary clutter. I’m visiting my family for the next week but will definitely posting while I’m away. I hope everyone in the US has a safe and Happy Independence Day!

Heather –
Congratulations on the new place! And, yes – enjoy a few days rest before the un-packing begins!
Cheers,
Scot
Good luck with the move. Can’t wait to see what you do with the new place. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Hi Heather,
That is a really “chic” little truck, but don’t think it will quite work for your move!! Have a wonderful 4th; don’t sweat the smaller stuff today; there is always more if something gets broken; and things always work out if the movers don’t show, you lost the key, can’t fit the (insert whatever)…………. Mary
Wish I was there for that give away! Hope you have a lovely time before you start you new adventure.
a week in limbo.
interesting transition.
good luck with your new home.
Happy 4th Heather! Looking forward to pictures of the new place! I am sure you have fantastic plans for making it wonderful. 🙂
Get plenty of rest! Moving is a job by itself. After 27 years in our present home,my husband and I are down sizing from a three bedroom, two living areas into a condo. It was great to declutter and I too look forward to start another phase in our lives.

Good Luck with your move Heather! Do you happen to know what the vehicle is in the picture? The hubs and I want to buy one. We love to go to estate sales and our van is on its last legs. Thanks for any help you can give!
Best of luck…I know what it’s like moving in NYC from when I lived there…exciting but not much fun!

How exciting – new digs! I, too, would be madly re-decorating in my head. I’m already doing that for a major renovation to our home that is at least 2 years away!
Anway, I thought I would send you this link for the skirted table – much easier than bugging your mother! Its http://www.tablevogue.com. I have yet to use them but I will when I finallly get to our upstairs sitting/TV room. Also, if you want trimming, you can always use the iron-on stuff which I have done with great results.
Don’t forget – we will all want to see photos!
