The Kennedy Family at Christmas

I watched part of the HGTV special about Christmas at the White House yesterday and couldn’t resist posting of these photos of the Kennedy family at Christmas.  Some are from the White House years like the tree in the Blue Room in 1961 above and some are from Jackie’s life in the 1970’s.  Enjoy!

    Good Morning, Dear Heather! 🙂

Did you enjoy your weekend? Mine was busy.. it didn’t feel like a weekend.

This post is magical. Honestly… Jackie was a super-woman for me. She was and still is an example of woman, of femininity, elegance and grace.

    Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I did my first Christmas post today. Please, take a look and let me know how I did it.

I wonder if the Christmas card was painted by Mrs. Kennedy?

How poignant Christmas must be for Caroline Kennedy, with both her stylish mother, charismatic father and gorgeous brother gone- these pictures seem to be from a faraway golden age…

When I first read the title of the post I though “who’s left” then I remembered poor Caroline! These are such wonderful, natural shots. So interesting taking a look into a glamorous world like theres. Pruxxx

Love your blog posts featuring Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

I just adore her and all she made of herself – and stood for. Grace, strength, perseverance, no whining. I STILL miss her (can you believe it’s been almost 17 years?) She’s been gone longer than I was alive to be aware of her and yet I still hate that she was taken so soon – although grateful forever that she did not live to see the loss of her son.

We can only dare to imagine the example she would have set for grace and style in the elder years. The world is a less beautiful place without her.
