Oscar de la Renta Resort 2011 Round Up
by habituallychic
06 . 08 . 10There is always something magical about attending a fashion show in person and Oscar de la Renta‘s Resort 2011 show was no exception. With all the downtown designers on the scene making waves, it’s nice to see ladylike clothes which are by no means boring or dowdy. I really loved all the sparkly details which might be hard to notice in the photos but glittered on the runway. These are some of my favorite looks but there was just as much going on off stage as on. Desiree Rogers caused quite a stir when she took her seat in the front row and even more so when Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour, sat down next to her. I wonder if she was in attendance to scout clothing options for Mrs. O’s upcoming Vogue cover shoot. If so, she definitely had a lot of great options from which to choose! Enjoy!

Wow, I just love it al1!
Just wonderful — he is just my favorite of all time. It’s so true, the dresses are ladylike, but there fit makes them anything but dowdy. I love the black and white suit with the denimn bustier!! I’m inspired!
Splendid Market
The clothes are so, so classy, detailed, pretty. Do you think that is what is in store for the interior world? Hope so.
I love the round brimmed straw hats with colored ribbons!
Thanks for sharing,

Oscar is timeless. I love the flirty dresses– I think they would look beautiful on anyone!
These clothes would look good on anyone. They’re pretty, flirty & more wearable than most runway clothes. I agree with jones above who said she hopes that’s what’s in store for interior design… classy, detailed and pretty & must add timeless!! Thanks, Heather.
He is an elegant man who dresses elegant woman. One doesn’t have to be 6 feet tall, 115 pounds to wear his clothes. I adore him and his latest collection is divine. I am sure it was a thrill to view the show in person!
His clothes are always so stunning! Everything is to die for.
gorgoeus gorgeousness!
I love dresses. And these are no exception! 🙂
gorgeous. i esp. like the black & white stripe dress and the layered long white & black dress.
just one word for this collection – WOW = (and wish I had a bit more money!)
Looks #4, 5, and the last one- love! The wool/knit jackets are very Chanel to me.
Great collection! I think my favorite is the black dress with the bow around the waste! Thanks for the post!
