Ready for the Hamptons!

We are having the most glorious weather today and it makes me want to take off for the Hamptons. But since I have too many projects, appointments, parties, and work, I will have to make due with drooling over Christina and Chris Cuomo’s humble abode that was decorated by designer Emma Jane Pilkington. It was featured in ELLE DECOR a while back and if you have a very good eye, you’ll remember that the little playhouse above was also featured with the Cuomos in the new photos by Elliott Erwitt for Tod’s Icons by an Icon exhibition. Wonder if they’d rent it out? Just kidding but it sure is cute! Enjoy the great weather where ever you are today!

    Thanks Heather;
    I needed that cool drink of water myself. I almost picked up one of the giant wooden ball finials when I was out the other day. I see she has chosen to put it atop her armoire, I could probably use it, but I must sleep on it.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

    What caught my eye is the young fabric which really updates a camel- back loveseat.

    I did see the images in Elle Decor and loved seeing them again…that’s good design…when you don’t tire of a space. I would love to go in that pool…it looks quite inviting, along with their lovely home.

    I’m such a fan of the Ikat fabrics! That settee has so much style and panache, and then we see it repeated in purple…be still my heart! I’ve seen these photos too, but each time I study them I see something new. Glad to see them today.

    I love the lake-shack-chic/vacation-home pared-down look but I can’t get it done in my home! I’ve got too much stuff! And I think there’s a part of me that likes a little Victorian Clutter!

    I have loved a few of these images individually for a long time now. They’ve been hanging out in my inspiration folders. I never knew until this that so many of them (that settee, the mirrored table, those ikat chairs, and that great kitchen) were all from the same home – those folks are lucky!
