An Idyllic Beach House

My friend Matt Albiani attended an estate sale in East Hampton this weekend just a stone’s throw away from Grey Gardens which he posted on his Mate Gallery Instagram account. Lucky for me and you, he shared the real estate listing for 15 West End Road. It appears to be under contract and I pray it’s not to someone who plans to knock the house down and build a McMansion because the current shingle style house and separate guest house look pretty perfect to me.

On two+ acres between the ocean and Georgica Pond on the most prestigious lane in East Hampton Village, this graceful nine bedroom shingled classic has 160 feet directly on a white sandy beach plus a three bedroom guest house, private pool area, and dune-top sunset viewing deck. Beautifully maintained as an idyllic beach house by the same family for three generations, this timeless beauty is one of very few oceanfront properties on West End Road located almost entirely outside of the FEMA flood zone allowing for significant expansion.

The house has very generously proportioned rooms and fabulous wallpapers.

Matt posted some rooms that were not included in the real estate listings including this pink gingham room.

There is nothing I love more than simple closets with just a shelf and hanging bar, especially when they are painted a lovely color.

The guest house is closer to the ocean.
