Chic in the Hamptons

by habituallychic

05 . 22 . 10

I’m off to the Hamptons this weekend and you know this trip wasn’t without some serious outfit consideration. While the city calls for sophisticated ensembles for meetings and business, the Hamptons allows me to get my Prep on. It’s also about 10 degrees cooler which requires layers which is why I pulled out my navy Ralph Lauren Slim-Fit Cable Cashmere Crewneck. I’ll be pairing it with my favorite white jeans, striped J.Crew buttondown and old pink ribbon belt. Of course, I couldn’t resist blinging myself out with some gold Jack Rogers Navajo Sandals. All that’s missing now is a Bermuda bag and rope bracelet! Bon Weekend!

Looks very well put together. I, on the other hand, will be wearing my “squall parka” from Lands End because it’s raining cats & dogs here in Portland. Wish I was going to the Hamptons.

Love the Jack Rogers! I have both the gold and silver and they go with everything summery … makes packing for a beach trip oh so easy. Have fun!

Agree with all – very Hamptons!

Another fab summer must-have our Apparel Designer Kathy says is the maxi dress. They would be fab in the Hamptons too. 😉

Thanks everyone! I had a great time and it did turn cold at night so I definitely needed the sweater!

Pretty Pink Tulips – the Surf Lodge is in Montauk and I was in Sag Harbor so we didn’t make it there.

KMart – Interesting that you recommend the maxi dress. They are definitely not something you’d wear in the Hamptons and are also not very chic if you ask me.

Can absolutely never go wrong with Jack Rogers (even if they sometimes make your feet sore!)
