Moroccanoil: The Miracle Worker
by habituallychic
03 . 26 . 10I’d been hearing about Moroccanoil since fashion week when Orlando Pita used it on the models at the Carolina Herrera show. Lately the crescendo had gotten so loud that I decided to march down to Ricky’s and pick up some for myself this. I wasn’t the only one and they were moving it to the front of the store after so many people came in looking for it! Could it be as miraculous as all the hype I wondered? In a word, yes. I was scared to try a product with the word oil in the title for fear it would leave my hair greasy and limp but it didn’t. After applying it to wet hair, I swear it made my blow dry easier. I have medium weight hair that has some wave to it which left to its own devices would turn into “Monica in Hawaii” hair so I like to smooth it into submission every morning. Moroccanoil somehow managed to not only smooth it out but leave it with lots of body. It really is amazing! They also offer a full line of products including shampoo and conditioner and a shine spray. I started out with just the tiny bottle of Moroccanoil in case I hated it but I definitely think I will be headed back for more to ensure that every day is a good hair day!

My stylist used this on me last time I saw her. It’s great stuff!
Love this product and isn’t the aroma divine?
Isn’t it the best?! I’ve been using it for the past two years and it makes my hair super smooth and shiny! I love it.
My hair color guy used this on me for the first time over Christmas and I bought a bottle on the spot. Love it. I use it after my hair is already dry….before I flat iron and it does work wonders. And doesn’t it smell divine?
Its sooooo fabulous. I use a drop when I tiwst my wet hair into a chognon for a no fuss day of errands & the curls are shimmerific not to mention they hold longer since using the oil.
wow – you so read my mind with this post. i read about it on one of my fave blogs earlier this year, then when i was at the drug store earlier this week i spotted it on the shelf (didn’t buy it)…and now in the past 2 days i’ve seen it blogged on a handful of blogs. i hear great things but i’m not sure how it works on black (african-american) hair? i’ll have to go do some google research 🙂
Just be careful because my hairdresser says it has been known to darken blonde hair
Oh yes, it is wonderful. I have been using it for about a year. I still use it every time that I wash and dry my hair. I have wavy thick hair that tends to get dry. It is a miracle worker!!!
I am a huge fan of this I use it every day. I was at the hairdresser this morning and they tried to sell me the matching shampoo and conditioner but it was $95 so I said no. Love the oil! get the big bottle you will not be sorry.
This is one of my absolute favorite products and I use it on wet and dry hair. It is really great for super dry hands/cuticles as well. Also, my daughter has the most crazy, thick, curly hair and it gives it great manageability.
My stylist introduced me to it 6 months ago. It enabled me to cut my thick curly hair(14 inches) and have a cute short cut for the first time in my life!
Oh my gosh! Where have I been? This sounds like just what I need. Can you really buy it at drugstores? Maybe I’ll go on beauty.com…

I might have to try this!
A definite “must-have.” And the it smells fabulous!
I am Caribbean Black and my stylist uses Moroccan Oil–love the smell and you’re rite it doesnt weigh the hair down. I have used Aveda Oil for years, but my bottle is almost finish so I may invest in this moroccan oil.
