Suzanne Kasler for Hickory Chair

This is my last Hickory Chair related post, I swear! It was actually supposed to be my first but I decided to wait until after my trip to North Carolina to post it. I mentioned previously that I attended a lecture at the D&D Building where Suzanne Kasler spoke about how her new furniture line evolved from her antiques picked up in Paris. She started with sketches based on her favorite pieces and later Hickory Chair came to pick up the antiques to use them as models. All of them were rescaled and modified to create the line which can be further customized by designers through the finishes, fabrics and trims. And as we learned from the Hickory Chair factory tours, they are even better made than the originals!

I also did a huge comprehensive ppost on Suzanne when I saw her in New Orleans! I am a huge fan of hers and this line for Hickory Chair. I love seeing the sketches. They are new for me!!

I love all the Suzanne Kasler pieces and especially the Alexandra side chair. Every time I see it pictured in a room I can’t stop thinking about it. I think it will become a classic.
I absolutely love that Woodward bench…especially with that huge abstract painting above it. Perfection!
This furniture line is absolutely timeless.. Classic and Elegant in every way, and with the craftmanship and quality to match they will remain family treasures.

Suzanne Kasler did a fantastic job designing her line of furniture. They are all unique pieces, yet they really work together.
Love the Alexandra chair. I just used one in my client’s bathroom for her vanity. It looks beautiful upholstered in green velvet.
