Maison 24’s Casa B
It was freezing today in New York it had me wishing for warmer weather so what better time to showcase the fun Hampton house of Allison Julius and Louis Marra, the fabulous sibling owners of Maison 24. They both used to work for Jonathan Adler and you can definitely see his influence in the photos that were originally published in Hamptons Cottages and Gardens magazine this past summer. (Note to self: see if I can persuade them to send me a free subscription so I can stop stealing, I mean borrowing, them from work!)
The home is named Casa B after Allison and Louis’s dogs, past and present, so everything is monogrammed with the letter B including the entry rug. The umbrella stand is from Maison 24.
Classic Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chairs and ottoman create a chic seating arrangement in the office. The desk lamp is from Homenature, one of my other favorite stores in the Hamptons.
Even the exterior of the house is cool, just like Maison 24, but then again, I expected nothing less!
I love the B house!
Ugh! That Playboy painting — take it away or I can’t come for a visit. Offensive, not even kitsch, certainly not cool to the eyes of women of a certain age (like moi).
I’m home sick today, scrolling back through all your awesome posts. Thanks for the eye candy, I feel better already!
I’ve been visiting your blog for quite some time now, can’t believe I’ve never posted. How rude! I’m addicted to it, great job lady.
The B house is great, unique and fun. And the exterior looks incredibly familiar! Is this typical architecture for the Hamptons?
I’ve also been visiting for a while without commenting. I do love this blog, though.
Anyway, I have to say I love the Playboy painting. Sorry to disagree with Ms. Wis./Each Little World. Probably I just have questionable taste.
I love the Playboy painting and the chandelier. It looks like it might be Murano?
Anyways, very awesome space
This was such a treat! Thanks:)
Great post, Heather! I esp. love the monogrammed Greek-key rug and the orange headboard. Gorgeous and classic.
omg. want all of it.
and the friggin blow up swans? are you kidding me? so cute
Love your blog and love the B house.
What fun! Wish I had that wonderful
“eye” for design.
Thanks for all the great ideas and information.
I love the theme of black and white throughout – wonderful.
Wow, I love, love, LOVE the B house!
