It’s a little warmer in NYC right now but this is known as “Fake First Spring” but the wintery weather will be back this week so I’m starting to think about fashions that can work with fluctuating temperatures. Luckily, NET-A-PORTER has many new season separates that are perfect for this transitional season.

As a jumping off point, I used interior designer Alyssa Kapito‘s gorgeous interiors as inspiration and a suit jacket that I styled four ways to give you multiple outfit options. Also, this week actress Chloë Sevigny lamented to Rolling Stone that everyone in NYC is wearing athleisure (I can attest that it’s the truth) but I’m here to tell you that you can still be comfortable while wearing real clothes.

My jumping off point for all of these outfits is a Veronica de Piante herringbone pinstriped wool and cashmere-blend blazer and matching herringbone pinstriped wool and cashmere-blend wide-leg pants.

I have a lot of followers who have gone back to the office and this suit is a great option to mix and match with all of these different options to make a multitude of outfits.

Add a little color to the neutral suit with this bow tie silk-georgette shirt in orange or stay neutral with the tie-neck hammered silk-satin blouse in camel. These could also be paired with the jeans father down in this post.

For work, I’d pair the suit with professional patent-leather pumps but you could also wear leather and suede sneakers for casual Friday. I still remember a very chic woman wearing Loewe sneakers while out shopping in Paris.

Finish the outfit off with chic large gold vermeil hoop earrings and Bottega Veneta Sardine small intrecciato leather shoulder bag.

I love this outfit for those of you who work in creative fields.

Pair the Veronica de Piante herringbone pinstriped wool and cashmere-blend blazer with this chic brown wool midi skirt. It perfectly matches the pinstripe color of the jacket.

For a neutral option, pair them with the grey ribbed cashmere tank or for a pop of color, try this yellow ribbed cashmere and silk-blend top. Yellow is the new red this year.

The embellished leather-trimmed raffia slingback pumps are the perfect heel height for wearing all day but if they aren’t, you can always throw a pair of flats into the tan medium textured-leather tote. Finish the outfit off with the Khaite Julius small gold-tone earrings.

The jacket also works for the weekend.

Pair the Veronica de Piante herringbone pinstriped wool and cashmere-blend blazer with a white cotton-jersey T-shirt and Toteme Twisted Seam high-rise straight-leg jeans.

Either wear the bright red waffle-knit merino wool and cashmere-blend sweater or burgundy red cashmere sweater or throw them over the shoulders of the jacket.

I love the taupey-grey color of the Toteme Asymmetric Ballerina leather point-toe flats as a foil for the pop of red. The camel textured-leather shoulder bag is perfect for weekend errands. The gold-plated sterling silver earrings are the perfect earring to top things off.

If you work at home and want to get out of your athleisure, this is the perfect outfit.

Wear the ivory merino wool and cashmere-blend turtleneck sweater and pop on the Veronica de Piante herringbone pinstriped wool and cashmere-blend blazer for your Zoom calls and casual client meetings.

Add an unexpected element with these brown crepe wide-leg pants or brown wool and cashmere-blend midi skirt.

Add a subtle pop of color with the light denim Mary Jane flats. Look polished for your work meetings with the recycled gold vermeil hoop earrings and dark brown leather tote.

Hope this helps you get dressed and out of your athleisure this month.

XOXO,

HC
