Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay

01 . 04 . 24One thing I wish I had asked for as a Christmas present is a stay at the Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay. The country estate hotel outside Paris has been completely renovated and updated by the French hospitality group, Paris Society. The location was originally a 12th-century Cistercian abbey and later a weekend estate of Baroness Charlotte de Rothschild in the 19th-century.
I’m currently in Boston and staying at a nondescript hotel looking hotel and it’s making me think about hotel interior design. Cordelia de Castellane was the perfect person to decorate Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay. She’s created warm and layered interiors in which you would want to stay and linger, especially by the fire. It looked especially idyllic decorated for the holidays. There are also acres of grounds to explore by bike and a lake for boating, in addition there is a spa, tennis court, fishing, yoga, kids club, and more.
I love everything that Paris Society does and I really hope that more hotels are to come from them. We also need them to branch out into the United States.
