Dispatch from Paris: Shearling Coats
There is nothing I love more than seeing what Parisians are wearing every day. During my two weeks in Paris, one thing started to stand out from day one, shearling coats. They seemed to be even more popular with men than women but by the end of my trip, they seemed to be neck and neck in popularity. The photos above are just some of the examples I saw and I’ve put together as many options as I could find in different price points for men and women, as well as one for a little girl. You can either steal a style for men for yourself or convince the man in your life that he needs a little Parisian chic in his life.
Kate Betts suggested shopping at Soeur to Preston Davis of Keep it Chic who was also in Paris during my stay. After we had lunch, she sent me a photo of this Verbier Shearling Coat and I thought it looked perfect. I went to the Soeur store in Saint Germain to try it on but the only had one size left and none elsewhere in the city. Luckily, I was able to order it online to be sent to my address in NYC.
