Newly Opened Hôtel Norman in Paris
by habituallychic
09 . 19 . 23The Saint James and Relais Christine hotels in Paris are beloved by guests and now the group behind them have just opened a new hotel, Hôtel Norman. Billed as “open, vibrant, lively”, the hotel which opened today has a younger and more contemporary look for its 37 rooms and suites located at 9 rue Balzac in the 8th. Some rooms have balconies or terraces with views of the Eiffel Tower too. It also has a bar and Thiou Restaurant which is open every day from breakfast to dinner. It will also open a wellness spa, Norman Academy, in February 2024 which will include a pool and sauna in addition to treatments.
The concept of Norman has been imagined by architect and interior designer Thomas Vidalenc. It is a tribute to the open-mindedness, creativity, and personality of Norman Ives, a prominent figure of modernism and is dedicated to world travelers and Parisians who appreciate open urban spaces, design, and the quality of human relations.
Behind an understated silhouette, Norman hides a warm and joyful atmosphere reminiscent of a private club rather than a hotel. The decoration seems to have been thought for a private residence by a collector with eclectic tastes.
It’s not really my ideal decor or location but as hotels book up earlier, I think this will be a welcome addition to the possible places to stay in the City of Light.
