The weather is finally feeling like autumn with a slight chill in the air, and it is time to think about cashmere and cozy knits. Heidi Wynne’s fall collection of fisherman knit sweaters and cashmere wraps was inspired by the beauty of Ireland. Lush green rolling hills and farmland, brisk walks along the Irish sea, charming thatched roof cottages and historic Georgian homes were a source of inspiration for the new collection. Her fisherman knit sweaters are made in Ireland in a family run mill that Heidi has been partnering with for many years. She recently visited the mill to work on new styles and weaves and there are several new styles for the fall season.

The cashmere wraps make thoughtful gifts and are a perfect travel companion. Her fall color palette consists of loden green, camel, buff and ivory as well as black, navy, and merlot.

Heidi started her brand with the intention of offering classic styles that would endure the test of time. Her fall collection includes those essential pieces that you need to build a timeless wardrobe, and she is offering Habitually Chic readers a 15% discount site-wide with no exclusions until Sunday, October 15, 2023. Heidi is based in the Hudson Valley and ships quickly from New York.

Heidi’s new Millbrook Cardigan was named after one of her favorite towns in the Hudson Valley. This cozy ribbed knit in a deep shade of forest green features two front pockets and can be thrown over a wool sweater for extra warmth.

The Green Fisherman Knit Crewneck is a timeless style offered in this beautiful shade of dark green.

Heidi’s Kingston Sweater is new for the season and is a modern take on the classic fisherman knit. Featuring a shawl collar and cozy pocket and offered in classic black, it looks great with denim or with a wool pant.

Heidi’s luxurious cashmere New Canaan Cape is a chic alternative to a fall blazer. The New Canaan Cape is shown here over a wool sweater however it also looks nice with a fisherman knit turtleneck.

The Dark Camel Isabelle Cashmere Wrap is a best-selling color and looks beautiful with a heather grey cashmere sweater and wool pants.

The Habitually Chic Alexandra Wrap was a custom color I developed with Heidi years ago that continues to be a best seller. This neutral shade of buff is so versatile. The Alexandra also comes in Black, Loden Green, Merlot and Ivory. The Ivory is a new color this year which sold out quickly and is now back in stock. The Alexandra is a medium weight cashmere with a delicate fringe on all sides.

The Millerton Cardigan is so cozy and warm and can be worn during early fall in place of a jacket or blazer. The dark grey charcoal color is a nice alternative to black.

Heidi’s classic Fisherman Knit Cardigan is a best-selling style that looks chic over a cashmere sweater or a long floral dress. It also comes in a beautiful shade of forest green.

Heidi’s Isabelle Wrap is her heaviest weight cashmere and is offered in a timeless color palette of Black, Dark Navy, Leopard Print, Grey, Cherry Red and the Dark Camel that was mentioned earlier in this post. I requested that Heidi develop Dark Navy color because I wanted a navy wrap that more subdued and not too bright.

Heidi’s classic Fisherman Knit Crewneck is that quintessential Aran knit that will remain in style for years to come. It works well with denim and loafers or with an A-line midi skirt and leather boots. Heidi also likes to pair it with a long black silk skirt and satin slingbacks for a holiday party. This style runs large so Heidi suggests ordering one size down unless you prefer a bulkier fit.

Heidi wanted to point out that her model, Asia, is quite tall and is wearing an extra small here so the sweaters appear more fitted on her. I happened to meet Asia in person during fashion week and can attest to the fact that she is very tall!

Heidi’s classic Fisherman Knit Turtleneck is a cozy knit that looks chic with a black wool midi skirt and high boots or more casual with denim. This sweater runs large, and Heidi suggests ordering one size down unless you prefer a bulkier fit. Cindy is also tall and is wearing an extra small here.

Heidi’s new Litchfield Turtleneck is a classic fisherman knit turtleneck in timeless navy that has the same fit as the cream color.

The Olivebridge Turtleneck is the same style in a charcoal grey color that is new for fall. It would look great with a waxed cotton jacket, denim and Wellington boots in the country or with a wool pant and black cashmere pea coat in the city. Like the navy and the cream, this grey turtleneck runs large so Heidi suggests sizing down unless you prefer a bit oversized.

Heidi’s Catskill Turtleneck is a best seller that is back for the new season. It has a slimmer fit than her other turtlenecks and is perfect après ski attire. Heidi suggests taking your usual size in this style.

Last but not least, the Merlot Alexandra Wrap is such a rich, elegant shade of deep red that works well with shades of grey, navy and black.

Heidi Wynne is a small brand with limited inventory, so I suggest acting soon if you have your eye on something. The CHIC15 discount is valid site-wide with no exclusions on heidiwynne.com. It will be applied automatically during checkout until Sunday, October 15, 2023 so you can build a classic fall wardrobe. You can join Heidi’s newsletter here to receive updates on new arrivals.

Happy Shopping!

XOXO,

Heather
