Chic Sweater Dresses for Fall from Net-a-Porter

I’m all about sweater dresses and separates this fall since they feel like loungewear but make you look totally put together. They are perfect for those who have to go back to the office but with they were still working from home. They look especially great with knee high boots which you definitely need to buy before you need them since they are usually sold out in your size by then. I’d also start thinking about getting a coat too since it feels almost chilly enough to start wearing them in NYC. I’ve put four outfits together with pieces from Net-a-Porter to help get you started in case you need anymore convincing.

I’m loving the subtle herringbone on this double-breasted herringbone wool-blend coat that you could wear with this dress or even with jeans. I saw someone on Instagram wearing this Joseph brushed cashmere-blend maxi dress and immediately put it in my cart. It’s the perfect flattering neutral for everyone. My tailor in NYC can hem knits so don’t fret if you think this might be too long for you. You might be able to find a tailor in your town who can hem knits too.

I’m not joking when I say it’s gotten much chillier in NYC and people are already wearing boots. These brown buckled glossed-leather knee boots could be worn with any color, not just neutrals. The small woven leather tote is big enough to fit a laptop but not too oversized so you will still look pulled together. I also love wearing a big gold necklace like this gold-tone rope chain necklace with knit dresses. They are the perfect complement to heavier fall fabrics.

If you are worried about getting this ivory wool and cashmere-blend coat dirty, it luckily also comes in a chic brown color. The winter white ribbed wool midi dress is a great option that can go from warm early fall weather to cold winter temps.

I originally had these taupe croc-effect leather knee boots with the outfit before and all these pieces can be mixed and matched if you want to create your own look. The boots also come in seven other colors and leather options for further outfit ideas. I saw Kendall Jenner carrying the black version of this Khaite Maeve Weekender large textured-leather tote in NYC this weekend so I would get it before it sells out soon. The gold-tone crystal necklace looks expensive but won’t set you back too much so you can still afford your daily pumpkin spice latte.

I absolutely love the color of this wool and cashmere-blend coat and I might have to put this in my cart too and check out before you guys sell out all the sizes. This oatmeal ribbed cashmere turtleneck midi dress is the perfect work to weekend style for fall.

These tan suede knee boots have a great low heel that would make them great for a trip to a walking city like NYC or Paris. The tan leather tote is a fun new shape for fall and also comes with a shoulder strap when you need to go handsfree. I used to wear the same earrings every day but this fall, I am loving chunky gold statement earrings like these gold-plated sculptural earrings.

While you could go with the basic black version of this double-breasted merino wool-twill coat, the green color is a much more unexpected choice that works with any color outfit. Of course, everyone needs a black dress and this stretch-knit turtleneck midi dress is a cozy version for cooler fall weather.

These suede knee boots are such a chic and simple style that you will want to buy them in every color. I love a handbag like this chain-embellished leather-trimmed canvas bag that also has a shoulder strap for ease. Higher collars and turtlenecks definitely call for statement earrings like these gold vermeil hoop earrings.

The best part these sweater dresses from Net-a-Porter is that they are so comfortable that you won’t want to change the minute you get home. I know that once I change, I’m definitely not going out again so these dresses might even be as good for your social life as they are for your wardrobe.

XOXO,

HC
