Château Voltaire Hotel in Paris

When I visit Paris, I usually rent an apartment because I tend to stay at least 10 days. But I always keep a list of hotels for recommendations and will be adding the new Château Voltaire to the list when it opens in mid October. It is located in the 1st arrondissement which is quite convenient for shopping and was conceived by Thierry Gillier, founder of Zadig & Voltaire, with artistic direction by Franck Durand of Desselle Partners and architecture by Festen. There is a little reference to the Château Marmont in Los Angeles from the name to the stationery but of course with that je ne sais quoi French-ness. The hotel has 33 rooms and a top floor apartment with terrace, as well as, Brasserie Emil, a Mediterranean restaurant with 70 seats and La Coquille d’Or cocktail bar. So even if I do rent an apartment on my next trip, I will definitely be making a dinner reservation.
