Jil Sander Uniqlo Collection 2020

One good thing to come out of this terrible year is the new Jil Sander Uniqlo Collection. The Evening Standard calls it, “A hit of luxury on a budget from the queen of minimalism” and I have to agree. Although, the prices aren’t inexpensive, the quality of the double faced wool coats looks very expensive. “I set out to define the global modern uniform with this in mind: Clothes should be long lasting and enduring,” says Sander. “They should serve the wearer and give her or him the energy and self assurance which is so much needed in our global reality.” The collection comprises 32 pieces for women and 25 pieces for men and unisex accessories in a palette of black, navy, and other neutrals. While I’m disappointed that charcoal grey didn’t make the cut, I did end up buying the navy Cashmere Blend Oversized Jacket because it reminded me of the Loro Piano Cashmere Blazer I posted in my Outfits Inspired by Jennifer Aniston’s Wardrobe on The Morning Show last year. Everything in this collection looks like something her character Alex Levy would wear to work on The Morning Show. I also bought the Extra Fine Merino A-line Long Dress in black for working from home. Place your order quickly because this collection will sell out fast but if you missed anything, they will be restocking select items mid-morning on Friday and Saturday.
