My Go To Grey Outfit for Fall

The fall temperature in New York has been very warm lately but cooler weather is here today and this is my outfit. Long time readers know that grey is my go to color for fall and winter and this year I’ve updated it with some new accessories.

Grey Double-Faced Wool Coat – I purchased my coat in the spring and it’s no longer available but this grey Belted Coat in Double-Face Wool-Cashmere Coat is very similar. Double-faced wool coats have a limited season in NYC but you can add layer underneath to make them warmer. I also love them for traveling to southern states and warmer locals.

Grey $75 Cashmere Sweater – As you know, I bought this cashmere sweater in four different colors. The fit is perfect and the cashmere is incredibly soft. I have noticed some pilling on mine but I have a sweater shaver so it’s not an issue. Naadam is also having a 20% off Friends and Family Sale right now but this particular sweater is excluded.

Curvy Toothpick Jeans – Same jeans I always wear. I’ve been begging Chris Benz at J.Crew to bring these jeans back in the dark worn wash but in the meantime, I’ll have to settle for the lighter color. They are the most comfortable jeans and I love the higher waist.

Essential Sneakers – I’m so in love with these sneakers since they incorporate all my favorite colors and materials, grey flannel, tan and nude leather, and brown snakeskin. They are the perfect fall sneaker to match my fall fashions and for walking in Central Park.

Gold and Pearl Necklace – I’m not really a jewelry person. I have my favorite pieces that I wear daily but sometimes I find something I love enough to purchase which includes this gold and pearl necklace. The unique pearl shape and imperfect medallion make it look much more expensive than it is too.

Hermès Kelly Bag – My vintage Kelly bag is an example of buying something of quality and classic style that you will use forever. I prefer to use it when I’m wearing more casual outfits since since it makes it look less precious.

Heidi Wynne Scarf – My signature Habitually Chic color scarf that Heidi Wynne made for me is the perfect color to pair with grey this fall and winter. I also love this silk scarf if you want to add more color to your grey outfit.

Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 Eau De Toilette Spray – I love the “feminine, velvet-woody scent that vanishes at first then reappears when the warmth of the skin and body chemistry combine to release the distinctive fragrance”. I combine it with Le Labo Santal 33 for a layered effect.

Grey Face Masks (not pictured) – I just ordered grey disposable face masks for fall and winter so they will match my outfits. If I’m going to be walking a lot outside, I prefer disposable face masks since I think they are easier to breath through.

Happy Fall!

XOXO,
