My Prolon Fast Mimicking Diet Experience
by habituallychic
09 . 24 . 20I’m on Nantucket right now and usually travel derails even the best laid intentions to eat healthy but I am completely on track and I credit this to the Prolon Fast Mimicking Diet I did in August. Since I finished, I haven’t had any cravings for sugar or dessert and haven’t eaten anything sweet in five or six weeks. I also thought it was an amazing elimination diet and I realized that dairy was causing terrible inflammation so I’ve cut it out of my diet now too. I do take an iron supplement now to make sure my levels stay normal. I have had gluten and carbs but I was able to ascertain that it they were not the cause of my inflammation. I also lost and kept off seven pounds and felt so much mental clarity during and after the fast. It was one of the hardest but best things I have done for myself and it was also the perfect reset after quarantine.
You can read my daily dairy in my saved Prolon highlight on Instagram. My friend gave me her box and I was not sponsored so I was completely honest about my experience. Gwyneth Paltrow also chronicled her experience on Netflix in The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow and interviews the creator of Prolon, Dr. Valter Longo.
They suggest you do it once a month for three months in a row the first time so I’m going to start it on Monday after I return from Nantucket. If you would like to join me or try it for yourself, Prolon is offering HC readers $25 off and a few 30 count variety of the the Fast Bar plus free shipping. You just click on the link and the offer is automatically added to your cart. I bought the Fast Bars after my fast and eat them for breakfast now.
I’m not sure if I’ll be have time to post on the blog while I’m on Nantucket with my friends but there will be lots of content in my Stories so you can follow along on Instagram.
XOXO,
HC
