Today is Good Friday but there doesn’t feel anything good about it. I’ve definitely been struggling lately to keep motivated and positive lately when every day feels exactly the same. I’m challenging myself to get my mojo back this weekend and there are some fun shows debuting that might just help me.

I had no idea that season three of Killing Eve was debuting on Sunday, April 12 at 9pm until I read it online yesterday. I love this quirky original series mostly because of actress Jodie Comer. Her character Villanelle has some of the best lines and wears the chicest fashions while traveling around Europe as an assassin. One thing I think is interesting is that the series has had different writers for each season. I look forward to seeing how season three plays out on Sunday when it airs on AMC and BBC America channels.

I consider Merritt Wever one of the most underrated actresses of our time which is why I was very pleased to see is the lead in the new series Run on HBO. The dark comedy that airs Sunday, April 12 at 10:30pm costars Domhnall Gleeson as her ex boyfriend. “The two made a pact 17 years earlier: If either one of them texted the word “RUN” and the other replied with the same, they would drop everything and meet in Grand Central Station and travel across America together.”

I’m indebted to director Autumn de Wilde for posting about Choosing Keeping on her Instagram account last weekend. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this delightful London shop. While the store is closed, they are still offering online shopping. I ordered a few blank diaries, which I definitely didn’t need, blank labels, and a marbleized paper covered box. When my order arrived, each item was lovingly wrapped and packed. I can’t wait to order more but make sure you reach out to clarify the pattern of the books you want to order or else they will send you a random choice.

Julia Amory, founder of India Amory, recommended Lady in Waiting: My Extraordinary Life in the Shadow of the Crown by Anne Glenconner this week. I told her that I wasn’t allowed to buy any new books until I read the ones I already had piled up but then went ahead and ordered it anyway. It’s touted as, “an extraordinary memoir of drama, tragedy, and royal secrets by Anne Glenconner–a close member of the royal circle and lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret. As seen on Netflix’s The Crown.” Sounds very exciting and I can’t wait to start reading it.

Have you made bread yet under quarantine? If not, you are probably the only person who hasn’t. The No Knead Bread recipe from Mark Bittman seems to be the most recommended if you’re looking for an easy one.

One you start making bread, you’ll probably want a bigger size of sweat pants. I love the color of these sweatpants.

The only shoes I’ve been wearing are sneakers for my once a week walk to the grocery store. These New Balance suede and nylon trainers are a great color combination and are 20% off with the code SPRING20.

My skin has been a mess lately. I think it’s due to stress and too many carbs. I wish I could see my facialist Leah but in the meantime, I’m using Mario Badescu Healing and Soothing Mask and Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial.

In other news: Bergdorf Goodman is offering an extra 25% off sale selections. Nordstrom has a Better Together Sale happening right now. J.Crew is offering 50% off wear now styles with code REFRESH. Ann Taylor has 20% off + an extra 10% off with the code TAKECARE. H&M is offering 20% off everything. Athleta has 25% off select workout styles with code HOMEBODIES. Williams-Sonoma has a first time ever sale of 20% off Le Crueset.

Bon weekend.

XOXO,

HC
