Hello Spring from Halsbrook

It’s not quite warm enough for spring clothes in New York yet but the weather is sure to be gorgeous in Charleston when I travel down south for my birthday in April. Funny enough, the new Halsbrook catalog was also photographed in Charleston. The great patterns and colors of their spring fashions look perfectly at home against Rainbow Row and the historic houses I can’t wait to visit. I’ve put together some outfits of my favorite pieces to get you ready for warmer weather too.

When the weather reaches 75 degree, a blazer is the perfect topper. This Les Copains Light Blue Herringbone Linen Blazer would look great with white pants or over a dress, as well as trousers.

I fell in love with this Beige Cable Knit Cotton Sweater with Pearls as soon I saw it in the Halsbrook catalog. It’s the perfect transition sweater for spring and the pearls elevate a basic to something special.

If you work in an office but want to wear jeans, try these chic Blue Stretch Denim Wide Leg Pants.

Everyone always asks me about my pearl drop earrings but I bought them in Florence. These Oscar de la Renta Pearl Drop Earrings are a lovely alternative.

I can’t wait to pull out my lighter colored bags for spring but I might also need this Alexandra de Curtis Loren Cognac Leather Tote too. It’s such a great color and style.

Spring events can be tricky to dress for due to the weather so this Max Mara Studio Plutone Champagne Jacquard Coat would be the perfect piece to layer over fancy dresses, especially for Easter.

Goat is a brand favored by the royals and you can see why. I love this Goat Helena Sunset Coral Wool Crepe Dress for spring events when you need sleeves. It is also available in a red wool version.

Since the dress is so simple, I would add a statement necklace like this Pink Mother of Pearl Cluster Necklace. It’s perfect for the neckline of the dress.

I love that this Beauty Peach Crystal Beaded Minaudière also has what I refer to as a “disco chain.” You don’t have to worry about losing your bag if you want to dance or even just mingle with a glass of champagne.

I think it’s nice to use patterned scarves like this Rani Arabella Melon and Yellow Silk Cashmere Scarf when there’s a chill in the air in the spring instead of a heavier wool scarf.

I’m ready to switch from my all grey outfits to color and pattern and I love this Max Mara Studio Light Blue Floral Print Stretch Cotton Coat. It would look great with white, blue, navy, or black pants, skirts, and dresses.

Don’t be afraid to mix strips and prints too. I love that the colors of this Navy, Blue and Cream Striped Cotton Cardigan match the pattern in the coat above.

White jeans are a good way to lighten up for spring but I also like these Escada White Stretch Slim Pant.

I’d add this Mini Angle White Bangle and maybe the Mini Angle Clear Bangle too.

This Inge Christopher Blue Woven Silk Clutch would be great to toss in your tote to go to an event after work. I also has a long chain that looks like you could wear it cross body.

I love anything tweed and I especially love short jackets that can be worn with skirts like this Navy Short Cotton Tweed Jacket.

I can’t get enough lavender this spring so needless to say, I love this Kinross Lavender Garter Stitch Cotton Sweater. It’s also available in pale blue and navy.

L.K. Bennett is another favorite royal brand and I love this Navy Polka Dot Pleated Skirt for spring. It would look great with so many different style tops.

These Julie Vos Sapphire Stud Earrings would elevate any spring outfit.

This Pink Square Printed Silk Twill Scarf is another great colorful print scarf for spring.

As we all know, April showers bring May flowers. It’s always hard to find chic waterproof jackets and I love the color of this Stone Curve Waterproof Raincoat. It also comes in lavender and black. There was a day of heavy rain on almost every trip I took last year and I was always happy I packed a a waterproof jacket.

I love the colors of this Leopard Print Stretch Silk Button Down Shirt but it also comes in a few other colors if leopard is too wild for you.

I’m really feeling navy for spring so how about these Navy Stretch Cotton Twill Jeans instead of regular denim?

Every outfit needs a gold link bracelet and this Julie Vos Catalina Gold Link Bracelet is a good chunky one.

The brand Lambertson Truex is back and I love this Navy Leather Tote. Much better price than Celine too.

Many of the pieces I highlighted can be mixed and matched to create the perfect spring wardrobe for whatever the weather and life throws at you.

Happy Shopping!

XOXO,

HC
