Pretty in Palm Beach

I’m headed back down to Miami and Palm Beach on Friday. When I was there for Art Basel in December with La Prairie, my friend mentioned a Ferrari show, Cavallino Classic, in Palm Beach that he wanted to attend in January. It happened to fall at the same time as the Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach so I decided to plan  another trip. I’ll also be staying at the Four Seasons Surf Club that I’ve been dying to stay at since they opened in 2017. Before you get too jealous, the weather seems a bit questionable in Florida and I have jury duty scheduled for 9:00am on the day after I get back. I love how the Universe works to keep things real.

Lucky for everyone headed down for the events, the January/February 2019 issue of Veranda is dedicated to Palm Beach. All the homes featured are spectacular but I really love this one designed that Phoebe Howard designed for a Chicago couple who didn’t think they could make it through any more Chicago winters. I can relate. A break to warmer weather and sunshine is the only way to get through winter. I love the airy white interiors punctuated with lots of pastel colors and pretty patterns. Looks like the perfect place to escape.
