The Inn at Kenmore Hall

If you’re looking for a quiet place to get away from it all this fall, I highly recommend The Inn at Kenmore Hall in the Berkshires region of Western Massachusetts.  I have been anxiously following the renovation of the main house and property since owner Frank Muytjens and his partner Scott Edward Cole started posting about it on Instagram earlier this year. The finished inn is even better than I imagined too. You may remember Frank Muytjens from my book Creativity at Work when he was the head of menswear design at J.Crew. His dream of owning a hotel accelerated after he left the company and found this property for sale. The very traditional space had served as a place to stay for many attending Tanglewood each summer but now it’s a year round destination just three hours from New York. It’s the same amount of time as a drive to the Hamptons with many wonderful places to visit nearby like historic houses like The Mount, museums such as the Norman Rockwell Museum, and even Canyon Ranch. The main house has five guest rooms and there is also a charming Carriage House Cottage. There’s even a resident dog Dutch to assist with your Instagram worthy pics. What more could you ask for?
