Golden Globes 2018

I think a lot of people were unsure how this year’s Golden Globes award ceremony would play out. Actresses had banded together for a movement called Time’s Up which would help shed light on sexual harassment of women and those “marginalized because of class, sexuality, ethnicity or race.” Some actresses chose to bring activists as their date but all agreed to wear black. In fact, no one should have been worried. The red carpet and the award show itself was a beautiful celebration of women and full of inspiration. The color black was chosen because it’s a color that every women probably has in her closet. I also think the wearing of black allowed each women to shine as many of them did on film last year.

“On Sunday, we wear black. To stand in solidarity with women and men everywhere who have been silenced by discrimination, harassment, or abuse. Wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you’re doing. Join us.” – Time’s Up

the sad thing is none of the designers got an acknowledgement for some amazing dresses/clothes. Thanks for Kit at the end 🙂
