Even though designer Michael S. Smith‘s Holmby Hills home is only onscreen for a few minutes in the film Nocturnal Animals, I immediately recognized the chic living room. I have a photographic memory from studying art history and looking at images for the blog for the last nine years but it’s also a pretty memorable space. The modern and minimal house was a big departure from his previous more traditionally decorated home. The pared down interiors are also making me want to get rid of half of what I own and live with less. Perhaps that will be one of my New Year’s resolutions.
