The Row in New York

While I was in Peru, my friend David Lawrence posted Instagram photos from The Row‘s new store at 17 East 71st Street in New York. Lucky for me, it’s located in my neighborhood on the Upper East Side and I can’t wait to stop by this week. As you know, there is nothing I love more than when fashion and interiors collide especially when they involve Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Jacques Grange.
The fashion duo called on the French designer to create a warm and welcoming store with the intimate feeling of a home. As Ashley told Vogue, “Having lived in New York now for 12 years, we wanted the store to very much feel like a home—that’s sort of the dream of here: a brownstone in New York. There’s a fantasy to that, and I think bringing that fantasy to reality in a way that everyone can enjoy is a really nice thing.”
The 4,000 square foot three-story townhouse features art by Jean-Michel Basquiat, a chair by Carlo Bugatti, a mirror by Frank Lloyd Wright, and a standing lamp by Jean Royère. Not only can you buy the clothes but the art and furnishings as well at The Row. One stop shopping at its chicest.
