Marigay McKee left her life in London and her job at Harrods, where she had worked for 15 years, in 2013 to take on the president position at Saks Fifth Avenue. I was wondering what she was going to do after leaving the retail giant and Harper’s Bazaar has the scoop on her new firm MM Luxe Consulting. They also have a look into her chic Upper East Side townhouse built in 1884 that was decorated in four months with the help of Nicole Freezer Rubens.
As Marigay says, “With me, it’s always 50 shades of gray and beige, but there’s got to be lots of texture and accessories. The living areas are gray, the bedrooms are taupe or beige, and the bathrooms are very clean and white—soothing and modern. And then the art, the accessories, the dogs, and the kids bring it all to life.”
While the entire home is enviable, it’s the closet that’s bigger than most Manhattan apartments that really takes the cake. Only in New York.
