I arrived in Rome this afternoon but wish I had gone straight to Florence. The Hotel Locarno has turned out to be a huge disappointment. I will never stay here again. There is barely any wifi and I can’t get any work accomplished and no one really seems cares. This will teach me never to go away without posts pre-written in advance. I’ll try to see if it will work in the lobby tomorrow. In the meantime, I think I’m going to take a long hot bath and go to bed early. Ciao.

N.B. I just called down to get an iron and ironing board and was told they don’t have any. I would have to call an outside service to get my clothes ironed. I have never hated a hotel this much in my entire life.  If I could check out and go somewhere else tonight, I would do so immediately.
