Olive Green in the New Black

I’ve been wearing a lot of black this summer so I’ve decided to switch things up and add some olive green to my wardrobe. I love that the color plays nice with others like brown and tan as well as black and even pink.
When I was on the Madewell site I found this Silk Stich-Edged Dress that I thought looked flattering online. It arrived last night and it’s even better in person. It’s a little long and will have to be hemmed. I usually have to take everything to my tailor so I don’t mind. It’s also perfect to wear casual with flat sandals or dressed up with heels.
While I was flipping through new August magazines this weekend, I came across this Loft Safari Midi Dress. I’m not sure I need two olive green dresses but I might stop by their store and see how it looks in person.
I bought this J.Crew Linen Cargo Pencil Skirt in olive green a few weeks ago. I wore it for Men’s Fashion Week with a blue buttondown shirt. It that reminds me of something Carine Roitfeld would wear. It’s on sale right now plus J.Crew is offering 40% off final sale so it’s practically free. Really wish I hadn’t paid full price for mine but oh well.
I love my Roger Vivier sandals in the first photo so much that I wore them to death. I was amazed that I was able to find a new pair in my size on eBay this summer. Since they don’t make them anymore, I love these Christian Louboutin Python Sandals as a very chic alternative.
I feel in love with a gold ring with a green stone in the Hamptons recently but resisted due to the price. So I was very excited to come across this Peter Hofmeister Green Agate Cab Ring on the Dara Artisans website for only $85. It’s another piece that looks even better in person and I look forward to wearing it everyday.
The pink sunglasses in the photo were a very chic gift from Cartier during Paris Fashion Week. I love these Thierry Lasry pale pink sunglasses as well as a nice complement to olive green.
Everyone knows me from my Le Labo Santal 33 perfume but I’m trying to switch up my scent this summer too. Tom Ford Fleur de Portofino is like taking a vacation to Italy in a bottle. The advertising is pretty cheeky too.
I love everything from Aerin Beauty but especially the neutral lip glosses like Weekday.
I’m a classicist when it comes to nail color and Deborah Lippmann Baby Love is my favorite pale shade.
