I was very excited to see Amanda Brooks post the cover of her upcoming book, Always Pack a Party Dress: And Other Lessons Learned From a (Half) Life in Fashion, on Instagram this morning.  The book is only available for pre-order right now so I’m going to have to figure out who I need beg for an advance copy.  The description makes me want it even more too, “Amanda Brooks shares her personal stories, and sartorial highs and lows, from a life in fashion, with beautiful, eclectic, and inspired photographs throughout.”

What’s funny is that I learned the hard way once that you should not only pack a party dress but an evening clutch.  I had the dress but not the bag so ever since that trip, I always pack both.  You never know where you might be invited at last minute.
