It’s a bit of a cliche but I love how the French respect and even revere older women.  I wonder every day if America will ever get over its youth obsession. Maybe if we had more photos of Lauren Hutton around, they would finally get the picture. No pun intended.  November 17th is Lauren’s 71st birthday so what better way to celebrate than with one of her most recent modeling assignments for the beauty site Violet Grey.  It was shot at the Lotus Club in New York and makes me want to get dressed up, swipe on some lipstick, and go out on the town.

I spent quite a few days in California with people Lauren’s age and I can tell you that they could drink me under the table. They are active and travel and have an amazing lust for life.  I have firsthand proof that 7o really is the new 40.
