What I’m Wearing this Weekend

I know a lot of you love my outfit posts so I’m going to try to start posting more.  The only problem is that I subscribe to the “quality not quantity” rule of thumb when it comes to shopping for clothes for I end up wearing the same things a lot. My wardrobe is made up of basics from J.Crew and Everlane that I upgrade with nice accessories. I find less is more works for me since I work from home and don’t see the same people everyday but even Garance Dore just posted about paring down her closet too.  The change of seasons is the perfect time to not just think about what new clothes you need for cooler temperatures but what can be donated to make room for it.

J. Crew Italian Flannel Ludlow Blazer – While I don’t have a grey cable knit cardigan, I do have this grey flannel blazer that I’ve been living in this fall.  I wear it over a thin grey sweater for casual days or a blouse to dress it up.  It’s 25% off right now too with the code STYLETIME.

Heidi Wynne Jelena V-neck Sweater – Underneath the jacket, I layer this Heidi Wynne grey sweater or a J. Crew Long Merino Wool Ribbed Sweater. I plan to pick up a plum colored Bow Front Blouse from Brooks Brothers this weekend to add a little color to my life.

J.Crew White Toothpick Jeans – I am still wearing white jeans but only on bright sunny days.  When it’s grey or rainy, I switch them out for the same style in blue or black.

Chloe Tan Scalloped Flats – I own these Chloe flats in four different colors.  They are my favorite walking shoe for New York and Paris because they are so comfortable. I think my next pair might have to be in leopard.

Hermes Kelly Bag – For day, I use my Celine Cabas Tote but when I need to take things to the next level, I pull out my Hermes Kelly bag.  This one is vintage and Vaunte is a great place to shop for them.

Heidi Wynne Bella Wrap – Heidi was kind enough to make a wrap for me in my favorite non-color color.  I love pairing it with grey. Heidi is generously offering HC readers 10% off all her wraps with the code CHICFALL until Sunday, October 12th.

Delphine Pariente Necklace – I picked up this necklace at their store in the Marais in Paris. The grey tassel perfectly matches the grey sweater and jacket.

Chloe Darcy Gold and Pearl Ring -I bought this ring as a welcome back to New York present to myself.  I get compliments on it every time I wear it too.

Marie-Odile Bijouz Gold Bracelet –  I bought this bracelet at the same store in Paris where I bought the pearl earrings.

Aerin Mercer Lipstick – Mercer is my favorite plummy shade of lipstick for fall.  I wear it layered over Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 so it looks more sheer.

Arquiste for J.Crew Perfume in #57 – My friend Carlos Huber of Arquiste was tapped to create the first perfume for J.Crew.  The team loved two of the scents inspired by Peggy Guggenheim so much they released them both as #31 and #57.  I love them both as well but find myself gravitating toward the darker scent of #57.

Bon week-end !
